Bath scrum-half Peter Stringer has agreed to join Sale Sharks on a one-year deal at the end of the season.
The veteran Irishman confirmed back in February that he would be leaving the Recreation Ground this summer.
Stringer, 37, has made over 50 appearances for Bath since joining the club from Munster in 2013.
"Once I heard that Peter was looking for a new club I made my move and I am delighted he has decided to join us," Sale director of rugby Steve Diamond is quoted as saying by PremiershipRugby.com. "Peter will also be able to assist youngster James Mitchell who is improving all the time and will no doubt be fighting for a place in the team soon."
Bath are back in action on Saturday when they host Leicester Tigers in the Aviva Premiership playoff semi-finals.
