Late try seals Saracens win
A good kicking display from Nils Mordt and a late try from James Short secure a win for Saracens in the LV= Cup.

Nils Mordt kicked Saracens to a narrow win over Cardiff Blues in the LV= Cup this afternoon.

Mordt and Ceri Sweeney traded penalties in the opening minutes, before Robin Copeland took advantage of one of the few try-scoring opportunities in the first half to put the visitors ahead.

The centre, who is kicking in place of Owen Farrell while the fly-half is on England duty, had put the home side one point in front with less than 10 minutes remaining.

A late try from James Short and a Mordt conversion opened up a lead for the hosts, ensuring that they would come away with the win.

With London Irish likely to secure a bonus-point win, Saracens will drop to second in pool three.
