Saracens have clinched the signing of Munster scrumhalf Peter Stringer on a three-month loan deal.
The 33-year-old Ireland international, who has been selected as cover for injured Richard Wigglesworth and Neil de Kock, is available to feature for the St Albans side in the Aviva Premiership as well as the Heineken Cup.
"Everybody in Irish rugby can see there is something very special happening at Saracens, and I can't wait to be part of it," Stringer told the club's official website.
The club's Director of Rugby, Mark McCall added: "We are fortunate to have a pair of outstanding young scrumhalves in Ben Spencer and Luke Baldwin, but the injuries to Richard Wigglesworth and Neil de Kock have left us exposed in this pivotal position.
"We are delighted to have secured the services of Peter Stringer, an experienced player of proven quality."
Stringer has 98 international caps under his belt.
