South Africa trio handed first caps against England

South Africa coach Heyneke Meyer has named three uncapped players in his starting lineup for Saturday's first Test against England in Durban.

Lock duo Eben Etzebeth and Juandre Kruger will make their international bows, as well as Sharks flanker Marcell Coetzee.

Meyer said: "It is a huge step up but I am confident in them.

"Although the team is quite young, we still have some experience across the starting 15.

"The balance in the team is right in the way we want to play against England, and we're looking forward to the first Test."

South Africa face England in a three-Test series on on each of the next three Saturdays in Durban, Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth.
