Scarlets coach Ioan Cunningham has revealed that Samson Lee is winning his battle to be fit for this autumn's Rugby World Cup.
The Wales prop was initially rated 50-50 to feature in the showpiece tournament after rupturing his Achilles tendon against Ireland in March.
Lee is said to be 'ahead of schedule' at this stage, though, which will be a welcome relief for boss Warren Gatland who has already seen his squad hit hard by injuries.
"Samson is on course to making, hopefully, the World Cup," Cunningham is quoted as saying by Wales Online. "He is doing really well at the moment. He's ahead of his schedule."
Lee, who has been capped 12 times at international level, is currently with the Wales squad at their training base in Qatar.
