Wales lock Luke Charteris has claimed that Wales are in great physical shape ahead of next month's World Cup.
A high level of conditioning has led the 28-year-old to believe that the Dragons can cause some upsets in the tournament, starting with their opening fixture against South Africa on Sunday, September 11.
"In years gone by we have always competed with the southern hemisphere teams but faded in the last 20 minutes, and we want to change that," said Charteris.
"The massive confidence boost with our conditioning is now we know we can compete with these teams over 80 minutes.
"Starting with South Africa, they are a big scalp, and if we get a good win there it will give us confidence for three other tough games."
Wales will also face Samoa, Namibia and Fiji in the group stage.
