Chances were few and far between in the opening 40 minutes, as Chris Pennell and Andy Goode each added a penalty to ensure that the sides headed into the break level at 3-3.
Goode put the visitors ahead for the first time with another penalty at the start of the second half.
However, the home side were ahead 10 minutes later when Sam Betty scored the first try of the night, collecting the ball out wide from David Lemi.
It looked like the Warriors had done enough to seal their first win of the campaign, having lost their opening 16 games, but Jake Cooper-Woolley made the most of some late pressure from the visitors to pile over with the final action of the match.
