Great Britain have won their 21st gold medal of the 2016 Olympic Games after Hannah Mills and Saskia Clark triumphed in the women's 470 sailing on Thursday.
Mills, 28, and Clark, 36, who won silver at London 2012, held a 20-point lead going into the finale and only needed to finish the race on Thursday to secure first after bad weather forced Wednesday's event to be postponed.
As it transpired, Mills and Clark safely finished eighth out of 10 boats in the finale to claim the gold in Rio.
The Team GB pair beat New Zealand's Polly Powrie and Jo Aleh to the silver medal, while France's Helene Defrance and Camille Lecointre finished in third, claiming bronze in the process.
