Steven Scott beats England teammate to double trap shooting gold

England's Steven Scott beats compatriot Matthew French in a shoot-off for gold in the double trap competition at the Commonwealth Games.

Steven Scott has beaten his England teammate Matthew French in a shoot-off for the gold medal in the men's double trap competition at the Commonwealth Games this afternoon.

French will receive the silver medal after his compatriot narrowly beat him in a closely-fought final.

India's Asab Mohd joins them on the podium after beating Nathan Xuereb of Malta in the bronze medal shoot-off.

The result follows a gold and bronze for England in the women's event earlier.
