Laura Massaro confident ahead of knockout stages

Laura Massaro is confident that she and Jenny Duncalf can continue to improve in the doubles at the Commonwealth Games.

Laura Massaro has revealed her confidence after booking a spot in the knockout stages of the Commonwealth Games with doubles partner Jenny Duncalf.

It was a comfortable day for the pair in Scotland as they thrashed Papua New Guinea's Dorothy Boyce and Sheila Morove 11-2 11-7 to secure their place in the next round, and Massaro is certain that there is more to come.

"I feel fine physically, we would have liked another match on that court really," the 30-year-old told Team England's official website. "When we are both severe with our hitting we are quite accurate and I think other teams will struggle.

"We are a more used to playing on the glass usually and that will definitely work in our favour."

Massaro collected the silver medal in the singles event in Glasgow.
