Aimee Willmott cruises to medley heat win

English swimmer Aimee Willmott wins her 400m individual medley heat to reach the final of the event at the Commonwealth Games.

Aimee Willmott has eased to a win in her 400m medley heat at the Commonwealth Games this morning.

The English swimmer set the second-fastest time of the morning, completing the event fractionally slower than heat one winner Hannah Miley who recorded a time of 4:39.50.

Australia's Keryn McMaster was second in heat two, 0.61 seconds behind the 21-year-old.

The final of the event takes place this evening.
