Great Britain duo Layla Black and Georgia Coates have safely secured their passage into tomorrow's 200m breaststroke final at the European Games in Baku.
Black qualified in second with a time of 2:27.09, while Coates finished three places back in fifth by clocking 2:30.41.
However, the duo could have their work cut out for them after Russia's Maria Astashkina flashed her gold medal credentials in style.
Astashkinda swam a Games record 2:23.88 to win the semi-final and ensure that she is the one to beat in the final, which is scheduled to begin at around 2.18pm tomorrow.
