Three Team GB swimmers failed in their attempts to reach the 400m freestyle final at the European Games this morning.
Cameron Kurle and Kyle Chisholm took part in the sixth heat, but times of 3:56.03 and 3:56.08 saw them finish 11th and 12th respectively.
Meanwhile, Tom Derbyshire finished further adrift in the fifth heat, clocking a time of 4:02.82 at the Baku Aquatics Centre.
Germany's Henning Muehlleitner (3:54.75) set the pace in the heats, closely followed by France's Nicolas D'Oriano (3:54.76) and Russia's Ernest Maksumov (3:54.77).
Great Britain's Kurle will now focus on the 100m and 200m freestyle, Chisholm on the 200m butterfly and freestyle, and Derbyshire will turn his attention to the 800m and 1500m freestyle.
