Team GB swimmer Laura Stephens has qualified in fine form from the 50m butterfly heats in Baku with a time of 27:29s.
The 16-year-old, who swam in heat three, logged the seventh-fastest time overall in the qualifying round.
However, 15-year-old Great Britain teammate Amelia Clynes, who won bronze in the 200m butterfly at the 2015 British Championships, was eliminated after finishing 28th in 28:55s.
Russia's Polina Egorova topped the qualifying table with a new Games record of 27.38s.
