Team GB duo Michael Jamieson and Andrew Willis have secured places in the men's 200m breaststroke semi-finals.
The former was up against Hungarian world champion Daniel Gyurta, and put in a hard graft to finish narrowly behind him with a new British record time of 2:08.98.
Willis swam alongside one of the legends of the sport, Japan's Kosuke Kitajima, and took the race to his rival, leading him from start to finish to clock up a time of 2:09.33.
Gyurta qualified for the last 16 with the fastest time of 2:08.71, followed by Jamieson and Willis, respectively.
The men's 200m breaststroke semi-finals take place this evening.
