Team GB's Fran Halsall and Amy Smith are through to the semi-finals of the women's 100m freestyle at London 2012.
Halsall and Smith raced alongside one another in the sixth heat, coming in second and fifth respectively.
Halsall's time of 54.02s was marginally slower than Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace of the Bahamas, but enough to send her through as the seventh-fastest qualifier.
Smith lay in an overall eight with one heat remaining, safe in the knowledge that she was already in the last 16.
Big names including Jeanette Ottesen Gray of Denmark, Missy Franklin of the United States and Ranomi Kromowidjojo of Holland also made into the next phase.
The women's 100m freestyle takes place at 7.38pm today.
