Nyree Kindred claims silver in women's S6 100m backstroke.

PalalympicsGB's Nyree Kindred has claimed silver in the women's S6 100m backstroke after losing out to China's Lu Dong.

Kindred had the fastest qualification time but her 1:26.23 in the final was not enough to take gold.

Despite Kindred's time being inside the previous world record, Lu smashed the time by more than three seconds with her 1:24.71.

Kindred had a flying final 50m, overtaking eventual bronze medallist Mirjam de Koning-Peper, but could not make up the rest of the ground.
