Molly Renshaw, Chloe Tutton reach women's 200m breaststroke final

British pair Molly Renshaw and Chloe Tutton qualify for the women's 200m breaststroke final at the Olympic Games.

Great Britain's Molly Renshaw has recorded a new British record of 2:22.33 to reach the women's 200m breaststroke final at the Olympic Games.

After watching teammate Chloe Tutton finish in third position in the first semi-final, Renshaw went one better in a well-executed swim that saw her make the final as the third-fastest qualifier.

Each of the eight qualifiers were separated by just 1.18 seconds but with just Taylor McKeown and Rie Kaneto ahead of her, Renshaw will be confident of making a bid for a medal.

Tutton lost her British record to Renshaw by just one hundredth of a second but she did enough to progress through as the seventh-fastest qualifier.
