Oussama Mellouli has won the gold medal in the men's 10km marathon for Tunisia.
The 28-year-old got his tactics just right in the Serpentine this afternoon, breaking away during the fifth lap and leaving the chasing pack behind.
Mellouli finished in 1:49:55.1, more than three seconds ahead of silver medal-winner Thomas Lurz of Germany.
Lurz was thereabouts throughout the race, and was drawn into a fierce battle for the podium with Richard Weinberger of Canada and Spyridon Gianniotis of Greece.
Weinberger dug deep during the final stretch to reach the finish ahead of Gianniotis to bring home the bronze medal.
Team GB's Daniel Fogg got off to a strong start, but soon slipped off the pace. However, he powered home in a respectable fifth thanks to a big finish.
