Lithuania's Ruta Meilutyte has set the fastest time in the semi-finals of the women's 50m breaststroke to secure her spot in the final at the World Swimming Championships in Russia.
The 18-year-old, who holds the world record in the event, won the second semi-final in a time of 29.98s, finishing just ahead of defending champion Yuliya Efimova of Russia.
Jessica Hardy of the United States won the first semi-final in a time of 30.25s, which was fourth fastest overall.
Meilutyte missed out on the gold in Barcelona two years ago, finishing 0.07s behind Efimova, who also beat her in the 100m breaststroke final earlier this week.
