Jazz Carlin turns focus to European Championships after Commonwealth double

Welsh swimmer Jazz Carlin tells Sports Mole that she will now switch her focus to the European Championships after winning gold and silver in Glasgow.

Team Wales star Jazz Carlin will immediately begin preparing for the European Championships in Berlin after picking up her second medal at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

The 23-year-old clinched a gold medal last night in the 800m freestyle, and followed that up today with a 400m silver in her final race of the Games.

"The European Championships are coming up in August, so I just have to wait for my selection to be confirmed towards the end of the week," Carlin told Sports Mole. "That'll be my training up until August and I'll have a nice summer break when I can actually relax for a few weeks."

Wales reached their six-medal target on the final day of competition at Tollcross.
