Former Australian professional Pat Cash came from behind to defeat Richard Krajicek for the first Legends clash at the Royal Albert Hall this afternoon.
The 46-year-old was well matched with Krajicek, who was a late entry to the tournament due to the departure of Ivan Lendl, but managed to edge the first set 6-7 and take the lead on the tie break.
Despite Cash taking the advantage, the 1996 Wimbledon champion kept pushing for a breakthrough and convincingly took the second set 6-4.
The Champions' Tie-Break was called into force following the equal scoreline, with both opponents fighting for the first win of the tournament.
While the Dutch former pro was close to victory, Cash managed to avenge the second set defeat and take the tie-break 10-6 in the opening Legends match.
