Nicolas Mahut, Pierre-Hugues Herbert plan Paris tribute at World Tour Finals

Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert are in talks with ATP World Tour Finals organisers to arrange some sort of tribute to the victims of the Paris terror attacks.

French duo Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert will pay their own personal respects to the victims of the Paris terror attacks during their opening ATP World Tour Finals match.

Security has been ramped up at London's O2 Arena as a direct result of Friday night's coordinated massacre in the French capital, which has so far claimed the lives of at least 128 people.

Mahut and Herbert, who are scheduled to face Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo in their competition bow, watched the scenes unfold on television while in London and now hope to reflect on events in their own way.

"We are discussing with the ATP to do something, at least to wear something on the shirt," Mahut is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"We didn't talk with the other players but I'm sure they will do something. That is the only thing we can do and have a thought for the families, and let the politicians do what they have to do."

More than 500,000 spectators are expected across the eight days of the season-ending event, with organisers confirming that "enhanced security" measures are now in place.
