Julien Benneteau eases into quarter-finals of Cincinnati Open

Julien Benneteau is comfortably into the quarter-finals of the Cincinnati Open with a straight-sets win over Jerzy Janowicz.

Julien Benneteau has earned a place in the quarter-finals of the Cincinnati Open by securing a 7-5 6-1 victory over Jerzy Janowicz.

It was a tight affair in the opening set with games going by the way of serve, and Janowicz had the chance to grab the first break but he squandered the point.

A first-set tie-break loomed, but Benneteau was able to snatch a crucial break of serve to take a one-set lead in the US.

It was a more comfortable affair in the second set as Benneteau grabbed a double break to keep himself in control and progress into the final eight of the tournament.
