Ivo Karlovic has been dumped out of the French Open in the opening round after suffering a straight-sets defeat to Marcos Baghdatis.
The 25th seed managed to send down 21 aces, but that did not prevent Baghdatis from running away with a 7-6 6-4 6-4 triumph.
Last year, the Croatian produced one of the shocks of the tournament by defeating Grigor Dimitrov in the first round, but he could not repeat that performance against the former world number eight on Sunday.
After coming through a tight opener, Baghdatis broke twice in the second to move closer to the last 64, before he struck again in the third to run out a convincing winner.
