Germany's Philipp Petzschner has booked his place in the second round of the men's Olympic singles with a straight-sets victory over Slovakia's Lukas Lacko at the All England Club.
It took a tie-break for the world number 91 to claim the opening set, but he eventually came out a 7-5 winner.
Petzschner, who was a late replacement for injured Croatian Ivo Karlovic, was rarely troubled in the second as he took it 6-1.
The German's reward for beating Lacko is a match with Janko Tipsarevic after the Serbian seventh seed defeated Argentina's David Nalbandian.
