Johanna Konta booked her place in round four at Indian Wells this evening thanks to a 6-4 6-1 win over Denisa Allertova.
It took the number 25 seed just one hour and 19 minutes to get the better of her opponent from the Czech Republic.
"She came out playing at a high level and I needed to get going to stick with her," said the British number one.
"I ran for every single ball and fought the hardest that I could fight. I took the opportunities when I had them."
Next up for Konta in California is Karolina Pliskova - a player that she has never previously beaten.
