Li Na is through to the semi-finals of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells by recording a 6-3 4-6 6-3 win against Dominika Cibulkova.
The 32-year-old took the first set before Cibulkova fought back in the second to peg the top seed back.
However, Li showed her class to emerge victorious with a confident display in the third to move into the last four.
The Chinese will meet either Sloane Stephens or Flavia Pennetta in the semis.
