Marion Bartoli insists that there is no chance she will reverse her decision to retire from professional tennis.

Marion Bartoli has claimed that there is no possibility of her reversing her decision and playing professional tennis again.

The Wimbledon champion surprised many by announcing her shock retirement yesterday following a loss to Simona Halep in the second round of the Cincinnati Open.

"I am always final in my decisions and I don't go back on them," told reporters. "I won't change my mind.

"I've been on the circuit for more than 13 years. Since the start of the year, I have had a lot of small injuries all over: ankle, foot, shoulder. I feel I've done everything to win the grand slam. My body simply can't carry on."

Bartoli defeated Sabine Lisicki to claim her only Grand Slam win at Wimbledon earlier this summer.
