Rafael Nadal returns to training following a recent knee injury.

Rafael Nadal has returned to training after suffering from a recent knee injury.

The world number two was forced to pull out of his Sony Ericsson Open semi-final against Andy Murray last month with the problem.

However, he was quick to deny that it was a recurrence of the tendonitis that kept him out for a large part of the 2009 season.

The Spaniard is now planning to defend his title at next week's Monte Carlo Masters before defending another crown the week after in Barcelona.
