Caroline Wozniacki denies Rory McIlroy distraction

Caroline Wozniacki has dismissed speculation that the presence of boyfriend Rory McIlroy will distract her during the Qatar Open this week.

Golfer McIlroy has been able to travel to the event, having recently competed in the Dubai Desert Classic.

However, former world number one Wozniacki has insisted that McIlroy's presence will have a positive impact on her game.

"Of course it's nice that he's here, but, you know, once you're on court, that's your focus," she told reporters.

"And off the court it's nice to have someone there. You can just take your mind off things."

The pair have been dating since 2011.
