Michael Llodra has booked a place in the semi-finals of the Paris Masters thanks to a straight-sets victory over Sam Querrey.
Both players held serve in the first set, but it was the veteran Frenchman who went ahead in the contest by taking the tie-break 7-4.
Llodra broke his American opponent early in the second and had to save five break points on his way to sealing the win 6-3.
The world number 86 will now face fourth seed David Ferrer after the Spaniard defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
