Jamie Murray, Bruno Soares win Aegon Championships doubles title

Jamie Murray claims his first Queen's Club title as he and Brazilian Bruno Soares beat France's Julien Beneteau and Edouard Roger-Vasselin at the Aegon Championships.

Jamie Murray has won his first Queen's Club title as he and Brazilian Bruno Soares beat France's Julien Beneteau and Edouard Roger-Vasselin at the Aegon Championships.

Murray and Soares first had to first finish off their semi-final clash against Marin Cilic - who lost the singles final to Feliciano Lopez - and Marcin Matkowski on Sunday.

The duo then faced Beneteau and Roger-Vasselin in the final immediately after, and came through 6-2 6-3 in London to claim their sixth title together.

Roger-Vasselin had his serve broken in the fourth game as Soares slammed a return into the feet of the server, and another return brought him and Murray the set in game eight.

Murray then fended off two break points at the start of the second and again it was a Soares return that provided the breakthrough in game eight.

That left Murray to serve for the title and, after the French pair saved two match points, Benneteau hit the net on the third to seal a comfortable victory.
