The Scotsman had a strong start by breaking at the first time of asking in the opening set, immediately putting Berdych on the back foot.
The Czech saved set point, but it did not keep him in the set for much longer as Murray comfortably held to take the lead on the clay surface.
It took just over half an hour for Murray to wrap up the second set as he earned a double break before seeing off Berdych to book himself a spot in the final four.
