Andy Murray recovered from losing the first set to eventually overcome Pablo Andujar 3-6 6-1 6-2 at the Mexican Open first round in Acapulco.
The Wimbledon champion was making his first appearance in Latin America and initially struggled to adapt as he slipped to a 6-3 reverse in the opening set.
Andujar then broke Murray in the second, before the Scot showed his class to bounce back by winning six games in a row en route to winning the second and third sets.
The 26-year-old will now face Joao Sousa in the second round.
