Andy Murray and brother Jamie Murray will meet in a competitive tennis match for the first time ever at the Rogers Cup.
The world number three, competing in the men's doubles competition alongside Leander Paes, defeated Kevin Anderson and Jeremy Chardy 6-3 6-1 in the first round.
As a result they have set up a second-round clash against Jamie and Australian partner John Peers, who received a first-round bye as seventh seeds.
Last month, Andy and Jamie played in the doubles rubber of the Davis Cup quarter-final against France, beating Nicolas Mahut and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in four sets.
