Cameron Norrie pulls Great Britain level in Davis Cup tie with Spain

Cameron Norrie pulls off a huge 4-6 3-6 6-3 6-2 6-2 comeback victory against Roberto Bautista Agut to level up Great Britain's Davis Cup tie against Spain in Marbella.

Great Britain debutant Cameron Norrie has recovered from two sets down to win a gruelling Davis Cup World Group tie against Roberto Bautista Agut in Marbella.

The shock 4-6 3-6 6-3 6-2 6-2 victory for the 114th-ranked Brit draws his nation level in the tie, having earlier fallen behind when Albert Ramos-Vinolas eased to victory over Liam Broady.

Broady was beaten 6-3 6-4 7-6(6) to put the pressure on his teammate on the clay surface and, after initially struggling, Norrie responded superbly to get Britain off the mark.

Norrie lost serve in the opening game of the third set, leaving him on course for a whitewash defeat, only to then break his opponent three times to grab a foothold in the match.

The fourth set also went the 22-year-old's way, as he held throughout and got over the line after a near-80-minute-long battle to pave the way for a decider.

Bautista, ranked a much higher 23rd in the men's singles rankings, then saw his serve broken in the third and seventh games for a famous Norrie win.

Jamie Murray and Dominic Inglot will now take on Feliciano Lopez and Pablo Carreno Busta in a doubles rubber on Saturday.
