Tomas Berdych believes that David Goffin has a bright future ahead of him.
The pair met during the opening round of the US Open earlier today, with Berdych eventually coming out on top against the 21-year-old from Belgium.
However, Berdych feels that Goffin has the potential to go far in the sport if he carries on progressing at his current rate.
"I think he has a pretty good future ahead of him," Berdych told reporters. "If he just stays doing what he's doing, then I think we can see him in the future quite high."
Today's meeting was the first between the pair at Grand Slam level.
