Djokovic plays down US Open chances

Novak Djokovic has played down talk of him reaching the final of the US Open following Thursday's draw.

David Ferrer has been named as the fourth seed in the tournament following Rafael Nadal's withdrawal through injury and could meet defending champion Djokovic in the semi-finals.

"The draw is something you cannot affect. It's luck really," he told reporters.

"You try to focus on what's in your power. That's how you play. To think about the semi-finals is not the best thing at this moment. There are 128 very motivated players."

Djokovic will meet Paolo Lorenzi of Italy in the first round of the tournament.
