Laura Robson has qualified for the first round of the US Open.
The 17-year-old Brit defeated American Taylor Townsend in three sets before beating Ling Zhang of Hong Kong in straight sets to progress.
Robson, currently ranked 173rd in the world, reached the semi-finals of the junior competition in 2009.
The Flushing Meadows tournament begins on Monday.
