Andy Murray is named fourth seed for Wimbledon, while Novak Djokovic is named top seed ahead of Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer for next week's tournament.

Wimbledon have announced the seeds for next week's elite tournament, with British number one Andy Murray seeded fourth while reigning champion Novak Djokovic is named top seed.

The seeding for the men's singles have gone by the way of world rankings with Rafael Nadal in second and Roger Federer placed as third seed.

Meanwhile, Maria Sharapova, who won the French Open a fortnight ago, has been placed at the top of the seeding for the women's singles, while defending champion Petra Kvitova nabs the fourth seed.

Wimbledon will begin this year's competition on Monday.
