David Ferrer overturns a one-set deficit to advance through to round at Wimbledon at the expense of Andy Roddick.

David Ferrer came back from a one-set deficit to advance through to round four of Wimbledon against Andy Roddick this afternoon.

The match started brightly for Roddick, who claimed two breaks of the Ferrer serve in the opening set on his way to recording 6-2 success.

Ferrer provided greater resistance during the second set as he refused to give up his serve to the three-time finalist at SW19. With Roddick also holding his service games, a tie-breaker was required to determine a winner.

Both players continued to dominate while serving in the breaker until Ferrer forced an error from Roddick to win 10-8.

That triumph handed Ferrer the initiative and the Spaniard made the most of it by breaking Roddick early in the third set. He went on to hold his remaining service games to go 2-1 up in sets.

Roddick was broken again in the fourth set as Ferrer opened up a 4-3 advantage. The 30-year-old pressed home his domination to win the next two games and book his place in the next round, where he will meet Juan Martin Del Potro.
