Team GB's Katherine Driscoll impressed by level of competition at European Games

Katherine Driscoll tells Sports Mole that the level of competition at the European Games in Baku is high despite doubts over the event.

Team GB trampolinist Katherine Driscoll has revealed to Sports Mole that she is impressed by the strength of competition at the European Games in Baku.

Two confident routines on Wednesday have guided the 29-year-old into the individual women's final later this week.

Despite doubts over the general level of athletes taking part in the Azerbaijani capital, Driscoll believes that she will need to work hard if she wants to return to Britain with a medal.

"Some of the biggest names in the world aren't here - they're from Canada and China - but it's still a pretty strong field," the seven-time World Championship medallist said. "The Russians are definitely going to be strong, I think."

Driscoll has been taking part in the European Games alongside Team GB teammates Laura Gallagher and Luke Strong.
