Jonny Brownlee has finished in second place in the World Series finale in Mexico but only after being carried over the finishing line by his brother Alistair.
Rio silver medallist Jonny had been leading from South Africa's Henri Schoeman but with 700 metres left, he began to feel the full effects of the energy-sapping conditions.
Schoeman went on to win the race in Cozumel but while he eased to the finishing line, Alistair ensured that his sibling held on for second by carrying him towards the end of the last stage of the World Triathlon Series.
Not how I wanted to end the season, but gave it everything. Thanks @AliBrownleetri, your loyalty is incredible pic.twitter.com/6uG4QiIgfS

Jonny would have won the world title had he finished first on Sunday, but his second-placed finish allowed Spain's Mario Mola to capture the crown.
Alistair and Jonny were racing after winning gold and silver at last month's Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
