Great Britain have lost their final Group A game to Japan after fading in the match.
The first quarter, although very close, went to plan for the Brits and they found themselves 14-13 up in a period lacking the violence of previous games.
However, Japan were rock solid in defence in the second quarter and were able to counter at will as Britain could not find a way through. At the half the score was 26-18 to the Japanese.
Britain were better in the third, but Japan increased their lead heading into the final quarter and were 41-29 up.
The lead meant Japan could ease up in final period, with GB unable to cut into the deficit as Japan took a 51-39 win.
The result means that GB are out and will not go through to compete for a medal.
