USA luge coach pleased to have Shiva Keshavan working with him

USA luge coach Mark Grimmette says that Shiva Keshavan "works well" with his athletes and is "a good guy".

USA luge coach Mark Grimmette has said that he is pleased to have Indian athlete Shiva Keshavan working with his team.

The 32-year-old will compete at the Winter Olympics in Sochi as an Independent Olympics Participant, as India is currently suspended by the International Olympic Committee.

"He really works well with the team," The AP quotes Grimmette as saying. "We're really pleased to have him with us.

"He's a good guy. Somebody from the International Luge Federation approached me and they said that Shiva was looking for a nation to partner with.

"To us, it made sense, so we discussed it with Shiva over the summer and it worked out."

Keshavan has never won a medal at the Olympics.
