Norwegian Ole Einar Bjoerndalen became the oldest individual gold medallist in a Winter Olympic Games with victory in the biathlon men's 10km sprint on Saturday.
Bjoerndalen won his seventh Winter Olympic gold medal by finishing 1.3 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor with a time of 24 minutes and 33.5 seconds.
He told reporters: "I always forget that [I'm 40]. I feel like I'm 20. My age is perfect.
"I am in super form. I prepared well for this and I am feeling strong."
Cross-country skiing legend Bjorn Daehli hugged Bjoerndalen in the finish area after his victory.
