Great Britain's bobsleigh team are in contention for a medal after finishing seventh halfway through the four-man event this evening at the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.
GBR1, which is driven by John Jackson, finished their first two runs in a combined time of 1:50.53, 0.18 behind Germany in third position.
Russia top the standings above second-placed Latvia, while Lamin Deen's GBR 2 team are joint 18th.
Jackson's team had begun in 12th position due to current world rankings.
The final two runs will take place on Sunday.
