The Shield have avoided the prospect of competing in a second three-against-11 handicap match in the space of 11 days after eliminating their opponents throughout this week's SmackDown tapings in Hershey.
At the start of the night, Vickie Guerrero announced that the main event of the episode, which will screen on Sky Sports on Friday evening, would see the faction, made up of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, face 11 opponents that prevented them from attacking Evolution on Monday Night Raw.
However, according to ProWrestling.net, they accounted for six of the participants before the official showdown, and after Bad News Barrett withdrew from the contest, The Shield dominated the remaining four superstars to end the night on top.
Elsewhere on the show, Cesaro scored a win over Jack Swagger, while Luke Harper and Erick Rowan secured victory over Cody Rhodes and Goldust.
Curtis Axel emerged victorious against Jey Uso, and there was also success for Tamina in her bout with Natalya.
