Team News: Stephan El Shaarawy drops out for Monaco

Italian attacker Stephan El Shaarawy drops down to the bench for Monaco's away clash against Reims.

Stephan El Shaarawy has been left out of the Monaco starting lineup for this afternoon's trip to Reims.

The AC Milan loanee started the 1-0 win over Qarabag in the Europa League on Thursday night, but despite having assisted his side's only goal in that game, the Italian has been dropped to the bench.

Goalscorer Lacina Traore has also been omitted, which has seen Guido Carrillo take up the role of the lone centre-forward.

At the back, Nigerian international Elderson Echiejile has replaced Wallace, while midfielder Thomas Lemar has been ruled out through injury.

As for the home side, Brazilian playmaker Diego has been recalled to the team by head coach Olivier Guegan.

Reims: Placide; Signorino, Weber, Tacalfred, Traore; Oniangue, Devaux; Diego, Bulot, De Preville; Kyei
Subs: Bourillon, Fortes, Charbonnier, Turan, Agassa, Peuget, Siebatcheu

Monaco: Subasic; Fabinho, Raggi, Carvalho, Elderson; Toulalan, Pasalic, Moutinho; Dirar, Silva, Carrillo
Subs: Nardi, Cavaleiro, Traore, El Shaarawy, Lopes, Boschilla, Toure
